Living Springs Camp Recount

On the Wednesday the 20th of February, Korimako set off to Living Springs for
two nights and three days. 120 kids and 4 teachers and parents walked up
massive hill on a 32 degrees day. Most of the way was sun. Then we walked under
a lot of trees everyone went “ohhhhh”, there was some shade. But we had to keep
walking. 15 mins later I saw a sign that said Living Springs. I told all of my
friends I was so excited.

But before we got to that sign 5 people face planted! It was the steepest bit yet. YAY I got to the top
of the hill, then we sat down in some shade for 5 to 10 mins while the teacher was telling us how
camp would go. After that we carried our heavy luggage to our bunkrooms. Then we got half an
hour in our bunkrooms to set up our beds and cool down. By then it was dinner and yeah for
dinner we had broccoli and garlic bread with ginger soup. After dinner we had some free time we
could go in the pool or the the trampolines or mini golf. I picked the pool. Sadly then it was time to
get out of the pool but we were allowed in it again tomorrow
night.

7:00 AM. Then it was time to get up and get ready breakfast is at 7:45 so Mr Sutherland came in
and time for breakfast so I went to the dinning room to have some toast it was delicious. Then I
went into the auditorium. We got split into house groups and did activities. The first activities I did
was low rops, then morning tea. We had fruit and fudge cake then I did archery and air rifles. Then
we had lunch, we had nachos after lunch I did animal survival then the bouldering wall. Then we
had

\afternoon tea. We had two pieces of fruit and a slice of chocolate cake then we had free time. I went in the pool again then it was time to get out and we had Korimako’s got talent. then more free time I went into the pool then dried myself off on the trampolines with my friends. then we went to bed.

It was the morning and we got ready we had the same for breakfast. then we packed all of our luggage and put it on the front deck. the luggage bus picked it up. We walked down to the farm park and had morning tea there. we did some horse riding and went on a carriage for a ride. We had lunch we had sausages and then Ice cream. After lunch we watched a sheep get shed then we walked to the buses and camp is finished.
